Kitt Medical was founded in 2020 by Zak Marks and James Cohen. The idea came from Zak’s experience living with severe nut allergies. While studying at Loughborough University, he realised that adrenaline pens were often difficult to carry and not always accessible during emergencies. He wanted to create something as visible and trusted as a defibrillator, but for allergic reactions. Kitt Medical now provides wall-mounted ‘Anaphylaxis Kitts’ for schools and businesses, complete with emergency adrenaline pens and staff training. The company has supplied more than 2,000 Kitts across the UK, appeared on Dragons’ Den and has helped treat over 30 life-threatening allergic reactions.
