Lonkero is a drinks brand which is working to bring Finland’s long drink category to the UK. Founded in 2024 by Joe Harris and Paige Gibbons, the business was inspired by Joe’s time working in Helsinki, where he discovered the drink and its place in Finnish culture. Lonkero is focused on pubs and bars, where it is positioned as an alternative to beer and cider. The category traces its origins to the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, when it was created to help bars serve large crowds efficiently. By 2025, Lonkero had achieved UK-wide distribution, sixfold on-trade growth and named in The Guardian as a drink of the summer in an article in 2025.
