Husband and wife team Aneisha Soobroyen and Jack Walker founded Scrumbles in 2018 after discovering probiotics as a solution to their pet’s persistent digestive problems. They wanted to create gut-friendly food for cats and dogs, so they began making natural, nutritious recipes from their London home. Their journey led them to Dragons’ Den, where they turned down a 60K offer from Deborah Meaden. In 2025, they released petfood in recyclable pouches in order to tackle single-use petfood packaging.
