Cycle is a global pharmaceutical company, headquartered in Cambridge, and is focussed on drug development and patient support for the rare disease community. Cycle’s patients require life-long treatments and so Cycle’s aim is to improve their quality of life. Cycle currently sells 7 drugs in the US, treating genetic conditions such as multiple sclerosis and phenylketonuria. Since its incorporation, Cycle has written into its Articles of Association a social purpose. Without affecting commercial opportunities in countries that can afford medicines, Cycle should provide drugs for free in countries that cannot. This includes the company providing free treatment to approximately 50 children in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
