Secret Food Tours, founded in 2013 by friends Nico Jacquart and Oliver Mernick-Levene, offers culinary experiences in over 80 cities worldwide. Originally starting by organising pub crawls in London, the company expanded to running guided food tours, aiming to introduce travellers to local culinary secrets. More recently the company has begun offering historical and cultural tours as well as beer tours and cooking classes. In 2024, they achieved sales of £17.9m and early investors, Pembroke VCT, sold part of their stake to Harwood Private Capital and Growth Partner. The founders plan to use this investment to expand into 30 more cities annually and explore new experiences like pizza-making classes in Naples.
